biography born the daughter of two wealthy hong kong business people, Li Ga-hei was at least attempted to be raised more traditionally. Rebellion, however, came as natural as breathing to her; often getting into trouble with her cousin Yih-seun. her parents were often busy, leaving her in the company of her cousin, and her aunt hope - who was incredibly welcoming and encouraged her sort of antics. At ten years old, she and her parents immigrated to the United states. americanizing the family name Li to Lee, her parents gave her the name Jubilation. Jubilee to her friends, she refused to allow teachers or people she wasn't close to use her americanized name; feeling a bit on the outs, she wore her heritage as a sort of pride and even as an early teen bit back against asian hate. the same year her powers emerged, her parents died in a vehicular accident, later revealed to have been a targeted murder. Unable to get a hold of Hope, Ga-hei decided to rather live through busking at a mall than to go into the system. At some point, in this very mall, a sentinel had activated - targeting Jubilee, though to her relief the X-Men had come to her aid. She snuck along with them afterwards becoming practically attached at wolverine's hip for a period of time.

When Logan briefly left, Ga-hei, motivated in his abscence, volunteered to be sent to the Massachusetts Academy ran by Sean Cassidy and Emma Frost. she wanted to be around other mutants her age, and potentially fill in on the lack of schooling since her parents deaths. Generation X comprised of herself, Synch, Monet, Husk, Chamber, and Skin, were taught to hone their abilities, and even got into spats with other mutants groups. Previously experienced with the X-Men, Jubilee often contributed the most - without credit - to problem solving amongst the group. The lack of acknowledgement, as well as the responsibility of continuing to have to take care of her friends eventually becomes emotionally taxing. Outed as mutants, Gen-X had been belittled, and bullied, by other students at Massachusetts Academy; the final straw came when Synch died, leaving the group to disband and persue their own needs. The Church of humanity kidnapped Jubilee, and Skin, soon after leaving them both crucified on the front lawn of the xavier institute.

Aunt Hope, having moved from Hong kong, had been contacted by Scott Summers after Ga-hei was provided medical assistance for her crucifixion. without a second question, she had immediately taken in her niece, gladly raising her along with her son Eason (yih-seun). Sent to Payton Noble High School, for a time, Jubilation got to live a semi-normal life; making new friends, and connecting with her cousin in a dynamic that sees the two become more like brother and sister. Semi being the opportune adjective given she and Eason would discover that her auntie was an assassin for hire currently in LA to get revenge for the death of her brother. DURING THIS TIME, THE DECIMATION OCCURS, stripping the mutant population down to a meager 198. Eason kept his abilties, sound generation - and manipulation - Jubilee didn't. After the two convince Aunt Hope to just turn the man who killed Ga-hei's parents into custody, Eason is politely asked to join other mutants at the school in New York. He takes the name decibel there.

Finishing high school, Ga-hei graduates, taking up political activism after moving back to New york city. Though Hope funds her living, she also began working part time at a mutant halfway house for those who didn't have anywhere to go after losing their powers. she was incredibly vocal against the superhuman registration act, noting the sort of impact it would have for mutants and others who are just born with their powers who deserve the same privacy that an average person does. After S.H.I.E.L.D. wounded her and other depowered mutants at the halfway house while hunting Wolverine, Jubilee comes to the conclusion many like her begin to. words weren't enough, action had to be taken. Donyell Taylor, taking up his brother's mantle, came to her, along with several other depowered mutants to form a militant response to the laws enforced upon them. dawning the name WONDRA, she wears The Wizard's Wonder Gloves, and carries other gadgets - such as Pym Particles, web shooters, and whatever else could have been recovered in the distruction of the avenger's mansion.

Though Taylor's New Warriors eventually break up, that didn't mean Wondra was being hung up with it. But first, having learned that the Mutants had moved to LA, she wanted to visit Eason - having not seen him since he left for the school. During what was supposed to be a casual lunch, she had gotten up to get the two a couple of drinks and in that brief absence a man self imploded near Eason, unknown to her, infecting him with Vampirisim, scott and logan made it very clear this wasn't her fight when they had figured it out after. Logan, at least, had more tact introducing her to his... clone? kid? Laura Kinney. She, along with Gambit, attempted to get her to see the beauty of life. her vigilante life saw her bounce from one group to the next, teaming with the Young Avengers in a journey across the Multiverse. She then was asked to join another iteration of the New Warriors, with the avengers pushing against the group until it's final hours. Lance had wanted to expand the group, but the mess of happenings after ultimately left things worse for wear. Eason, for a time, asks Jubilee to watch his adopted son Shogo. Keeping herself busy, she spends time with Patsy Walker, and her friends, while doing so.

Between taking care of his kid, and being an X-man, Eason once again relies on Ga-hei for help, this time - it's wrangling a new Generation X team together as a civilian councilor. Here she reunites with Jono, and Paige, reminiscing about the old days between trying to help deal with teenagers just as, if not more, emotionally wired than they were. Monet possessed by Emplate, attacks the school, and eason steps in to protect her; getting himself seemingly killed in the process. Quire, using the last of his Phoenix Shard, resurrects her cousin returning him back to simply being a normal mutant. Later, she learns, he has taken a position as an agent; though his priority to Shogo and the X-men come first. Currently, she remains acting as a vigilante, and an activist, combating against Kamala's Law. Helping fight Orchis, or otherwise combat the return of heavy Anti-mutant sentiment. She remains without her mutant abilities, never having been ressurrected, or given her powers back. In the meantime, outside of activism, Ga-hei maintains a hobbist garage & tech repair place. She got good at the craft having been Wondra for a while, and has a deep seeded childhood affection for 90's-00's tuner culture all thanks to a hot pink Honda S2000 from a fratbro movie. Both civilians, and heroes alike, can come to her for shopwork.
